Select File→Load Network , browse at folder '\demo' and select 'patras.her'. Click open. Simulator loads the image and network for the city of Patras.
You can navigate around the map a little: Use numpad "+" and "-" to zoom in and out. Use cursor keys to scroll. Right click on the map to center on that spot.
Select Action→Design Done . The simulator will check the network (it should be ok) and go to runner mode.
Select Demand→Demand Program to load the file that describes the passenger volumes. Browse for the file 'patras_program.txt' in folder '\demo' .
Select Simulation Speed→10X (or anything else) to make simulation go faster.
Press "S" to start/stop simulation. Zoom in on a line or station to see vehicles moving.
When finished stop the simulation (pressing "S") and select Action→End Simulation . The simulator goes in presenter mode. You can now see the results of the simulation.
Click anywhere on the map (not too far from a station). A cross and a circle appears . This is your starting point. Now as you move the mouse pointer around you 'll see at the bottom right corner the distance of the current mouse pointer from the starting point . You'll also see the time needed to go from the starting point to that position.
Select Time Map→Create Map and wait a few seconds. The map area will be painted with colors green,yellow and red. Beginning from starting point , green are the parts of the city you can reach within 10 minutes . Yellow parts need 10-20 minutes. Red regions require 20-30 minutes to get.
